Plot: After the death of Boromir and the disappearance of Gandalf, the Community is divided in three. Lost in the hills of Emyn Muil, Frodo and Sam discover they are pursued by Gollum, a volatile creature corrupted by the One Ring. He promises the hobbits to lead them to the Black Gate of Mordor. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli cross Middle Earth and arrive at Rohan, the kingdom of Théoden. The old king, manipulated by Saruman’s spy, the sinister Serpent’s Tongue, has fallen into the webs of the evil wizard. Éowyn, the king’s niece, discovers in Aragorn a whole leader. Meanwhile, the hobbits Merry and Pippin, who were prisoners of the Uruk-hai, have escaped and discover in the mysterious Forest of Fangorn an unexpected ally: Treebeard, guardian of trees and representative of an ancient vegetable village that Saruman had decimated
