Plot: The Lord of the Rings trilogy premiered in 2001 with The Fellowship of the Ring, followed by The Two Towers in 2002 and ended with The Return of the King in 2003.
In this episode of the trilogy, the young and timid hobbit, Frodo Bolson, inherits a ring. Far from being a simple trinket, it is the unique Ring, an instrument of power that would allow Sauron, the Dark Lord, to reign in Middle-earth and make slaves their inhabitants. Frodo, with the help of a Company formed of hobbits, men, a magician, a dwarf and an elf, has the mission to carry the Ring traveling throughout Middle-earth to Mount of Fate, where it was forged, and destroy it for always. Such a journey involves venturing far into Mordor, the land of the Dark Lord, where his army of evil orcs is concentrated … The Company must not only fight the external forces of evil, but also the internal forces and the corrupting influence that exerts the ring itself……………
